Ioanna Patsavou

Ioanna Patsavou, is a Clinical Social Worker, Psychotherapist through Art & Specialist Systemic Couple & Family Psychotherapist.

She graduated from the Department of Social Work with a clinical orientation, at the Higher Technological Educational Institution of Crete and holds a license to practice the profession of Social Worker.

She is a certified Dance Therapist, attending the three-year post-graduate dance therapy training program at the Dance Therapists Association of Greece and has completed clinical further training in "Group Psychodynamics in Psychiatric Contexts" of the Department of Psychology of the Kapodistrian University of Athens.

She has attended the one-year Specialization Program in Counseling at the Center for Applied Psychotherapy & Counseling as well as a series of seminar courses on Psychoanalysis, Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics, psychotherapies through art & others.

Her clinical experience dates back to 2007 and includes working with diverse populations such as: childhood cancer patients, people with memory disorders, psychiatric patients and people with developmental disorders.

She also coordinates Chorokinetic Psychotherapy Groups with psychotic patients, adults with intellectual disabilities, autism and Down syndrome, as well as patients with multiple sclerosis. She has been working at the Center for Special Education of Children & Adults with Disabilities (K.E.E.P.E.A.) "Orizontes" since 2017 and is the Director of the Supported Living Shelter of the Organization "Open Horizons - Mary Vrettou".
